Welcome to the Hausach Wind Orchestra

Music, culture and youth development in the Kinzig Valley

Welcome to the Hausach Town Band

We're so glad you found us!

On our website, you'll find everything you need to know about the Hausach Wind Orchestra, a concert band in the beautiful Ortenau region, and about our diverse musical activities – from concerts and cultural events to our dedicated youth and junior development program.

Music connects – across generations.

The Hausach Wind Orchestra embodies a vibrant musical culture in the Ortenau – with passion, a sense of rhythm, and a strong sense of community. Our wind orchestra includes people of all ages who share a love of music. As a cultural institution in the town of Hausach, we may not be a music club in the traditional sense, but our musical diversity speaks for itself: whether symphonic, folk, jazzy, or pop – every note gets its moment in the spotlight!

Developing young talent with heart and a clear concept.

A central aspect of our work is the musical education of children and young people. In close cooperation with the Offenburg/Ortenau Music School, we offer qualified instrumental lessons for wind instruments and percussion. This will create a solid foundation for the next generation of musicians in the Kinzig Valley – and promote the long-term musical diversity and culture of our region. Summer Evening Concert by the Wind Orchestra on the Klosterplatz

Summer Evening Concert by the Wind Orchestra on the Klosterplatz

On Friday, July 31, the Klosterplatz will once again become the meeting place for everyone who enjoys music best under the open sky. The Wind Orchestra invites you to its Summer Evening Concert – relaxed, varied, and with free admission. The concert begins at 7:00 pm.

The first part of the evening will be performed by the Music and Traditional Costume Band Fischerbach. Their guest appearance had originally been planned for last year, but quite literally fell through due to the rain. All the greater is the excitement that our neighboring band can finally make its long-awaited appearance. Look forward to an entertaining opening performance filled with musical variety and genuine joy of playing.

Afterwards, the Stadtkapelle, conducted by Raphael Janz, will take over and provide the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening with a diverse and entertaining program. From modern arrangements and well-known melodies to lively classics, the audience can expect a colorful journey through many different musical styles. In short: an evening for everyone who enjoys brass music – or is simply curious to discover it.

And of course, no one will be left high and dry away from the stage either: refreshments and cold drinks will be available throughout the evening. Local residents, holiday guests, music lovers, and anyone looking to spend a relaxed summer evening in a special atmosphere are warmly invited. Admission is free. In case of bad weather, the concert will unfortunately have to be cancelled.
