How it all began... In 1963, managing director Eugen Jehle founded a youth band. In addition to individual training under bandmaster Nehlig, Jehle held group rehearsals with the young musicians and organized smaller performances and hikes. In April 1999, the Hausach Youth Band merged with the young musicians from Fischerbach to form the combined Hausach-Fischerbach Youth Orchestra. Since then, a greater or lesser number of active young musicians from Hausach and Fischerbach have played together. Currently, there are 33 active musicians. Regular concert dates include guest appearances at the annual concerts of the Hausach Town and Fire Brigade Band, as well as with the Fischerbach Traditional Costume Band. The youth orchestra has also been privileged to participate in the summer evening concerts of the Hausach Town Band. The overnight excursions are also very popular and a highlight in the lives of young musicians. These take place every two years, time and opportunity permitting.
