Reinhard Meyer, chairman of the Hausach Wind Orchestra, ceremoniously presented the certificates and badges of honor to the successful musicians in the presence of youth representative Leni Breig and the director of the children's wind orchestra, Johannes Thoma. This milestone in their musical development paves the way for active participation in the City Band's youth orchestra.

The bronze JMLA award is not only an individual recognition of the girls' musical talent, but also a significant step in their artistic careers. The city band warmly congratulates Amelie, Lena Marie, and Lara on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to continuing to support their musical development.

The three talented musicians will now enrich the youth orchestra and contribute to strengthening the ensemble with fresh commitment. The Hausach Wind Orchestra is proud to be a musical institution dedicated to promoting talent and enriching the community's cultural heritage.

Five musicians from the city band successfully pass the silver performance badge (09/2024)

The Hausach
Wind Orchestra can be proud of its work with young musicians: Five talented musicians recently successfully completed the silver performance badge. They have thus reached an important milestone in their musical education and are now officially eligible to play in the orchestra.

The five musicians – Lotta Lauble (alto saxophone), Sina Schmider and Pauline Uhl (both clarinet), Ida Kamm (drums), and Sophia Hanke (flute) – had to pass a demanding theoretical and practical exam. In addition to music theory, such as music theory and ear training, they had to demonstrate their proficiency on their instruments. Preparation for these exams is intensive, as they require a broad range of skills and high technical and musical proficiency. During the youth orchestra rehearsal, conductor Raphael Janz, in the presence of youth representative Leni Breig, ceremoniously awarded the certificates and badges of honor on behalf of the music association.

The Wind Orchestra places great emphasis on the musical education and development of children and young people. Through comprehensive training in close cooperation with the Offenburg Music School, the young musicians receive the best possible support. Earning the silver performance badge is an important step in this training, allowing the young musicians to further develop their skills and develop musically in the main orchestra.

A strong foundation for the future

"Our focus is on supporting young people – through music, they should not only develop their instrumental skills, but also develop self-confidence, discipline, and the joy of making music together," emphasized the chairman of the city band. Successes like those of the two young musicians once again demonstrate how valuable the work of the city band is for the personal and musical development of young people.
