Family Hock 2025

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the wind Orchestra hosted its almost traditional family get-together, and numerous visitors accepted the invitation. Under the motto "Music and Fun," the focus was on community, joy, and, of course, music. Families with children in particular got their money's worth: During the "Note Hunt," a creative scavenger hunt throughout the town hall, the young guests were able to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and musicality at various stations. They enthusiastically collected note points and playfully discovered the world of brass music.

The music school's children's wind orchestra, under the direction of Johannes Thoma, and the Hausach-Fischerbach youth orchestra, under the direction of Raphael Janz, provided excellent musical entertainment. Their captivating performances demonstrated how much fun making music together can be – and perhaps even inspired some children to learn an instrument themselves. Food and drink were also well catered for: With coffee, cake, and good conversation, the visitors enjoyed the afternoon in a convivial atmosphere. At the City Band's information booths, interested parties could also learn all about the youth orchestra and instrumental training.

With great interest and much positive feedback, the family get-together was a resounding success. The Hausach Wind Orchestra is delighted with the lively interest and hopes to welcome new young musicians to its ranks soon.
