Lese-Lenz meets Hausach Wind Orchestra:

City band provides the backdrop for an atmospheric Leselenz event on the Klosterplatz

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, the Wind Orchestra was part of a very special literary and musical morning: As part of the Leselenz Festival, we accompanied an open-air event starting at 9:30 a.m. in the special setting of Hausach's Klosterplatz – a successful combination of words and music under the open sky.

After a brief welcome from curator and festival director José F.A. Oliver, our musical contributions alternated with powerfully recited lyrical texts by student Emilia Numidia Bouharras from the Institute for Speech and Communication Education at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. Her poems provided thoughtful and moving moments between the music of the city band. The literary highlight was the impressive recitation by José F.A. Oliver, who presented Schiller's famous ballad "The Pledge" with great expression and voice – a successful conclusion to an inspiring morning.

We are delighted to have been part of this special cultural event and thank all listeners for coming and for their attention. A morning that demonstrates that music and literature complement each other perfectly – especially outdoors.
