Young talents showcase their skills at the student recital of the Wind Orchestra -

Children and young people present their musical skills

On Sunday afternoon, March 8th – which was also election day and International Women's Day – the stage belonged entirely to the young musicians of the Wind Orchestra. At the traditional student recital, the children and teenagers currently training with the town band presented their current musical level and demonstrated what they had learned on their instruments over the past few months. Conductor Raphael Janz welcomed the audience in the town band's rehearsal room – parents, siblings, and grandparents – who supported the young musicians with enthusiastic applause.

The program was as diverse as the ensemble: from flute, clarinet, and alto saxophone to French horn, tenor horn, and trumpet, all the way to trombone and drums, almost every instrument that children and young people can learn at the town band was represented. The afternoon's special appeal lay in the mix of very young talents who had only been learning an instrument for a few months, as well as more advanced students who had been taking lessons for several years. Accordingly, the young musicians presented their pieces with great enthusiasm and courage, each with their own unique style.
