75 years of music and not a bit quiet – Congratulations, Hubert!
Our fellow musician Hubert Vistorin celebrated his 75th birthday on October 11 – and, of course, he didn’t do it quietly, but with full brass power! At the idyllic Müllerjörgenhof in Gutach, he welcomed the Hausach Wind Orchestra and the Gutach Traditional Costume Band to his home to make music together, celebrate, and look back on five harmonious years of friendship and music-making.
Originally a trained flutist, Hubert has long since made a name for himself as a tenor horn virtuoso. Since moving to the region five years ago, he’s been an active member of both ensembles – a true multitalent with great timing, both on and off the stage! The two bands congratulated him with a joint musical serenade, featuring pieces personally chosen by the birthday celebrant. The conducting duties were shared in perfect harmony by Raphael Janz and Michael Blum, while Reinhard Meyer and Mike Lauble offered their warm congratulations. And then it was time to head down to the party cellar! In the former “Vesperstube,” now transformed into a spacious and welcoming celebration room, the festivities continued late into the night with celebration, laughter, and, of course, lively conversation.
A wonderful evening all around – just as Hubert likes it: in tune in every key! Thank you, dear Hubert! We look forward to many more joyful years together, filled with music, good spirits, and great memories with your bands.
